![]() ![]() Nice variety of effect and adjustment options.Price: $33.99, – Also available in the Mac App Store Rating: 4/5 It may be a bit on the expensive side for an amateur photography app, but it does exactly what it intends to do and the outcome is near perfect. I would have like to see the application offer a bit more in terms of options and features for the price. ![]() This enables the photos to have a great result when you automatically import them into Photo Sense. What this does is separate the chroma from the luminance. The most interesting part of Photo Sense, the automatic enhancing, has some unique technology behind it, called the Lab color space. The app offers a ton of features and effects from simple one-click filters to more manual options, which let you fine-tune your photo to make it even better and precise. VeprIT made the app very easy to navigate to effortlessly achieve the result you’re looking for in your photos. Photo Sense is no exception in this case. Since Photo Sense is more for the amateur photographer, of course a great user interface always helps. Under these effects, there are also options to add textures, vignetting, and noise to your photos. From the effects panel you can also choose monochrome over color, which has effects such as black & white, sepia, and cyan. Different effects that can be added include Mystic Glow, Antique, and Pencil. These can be added by clicking the effects button on the toolbar, which will open a panel. If you have photos or events in iPhoto, you can drag those directly into Photo Sense and start editing just as you would if you were to drag them in from a Finder window.Īnother key feature that Photo Sense offers is the ability to add image effects to photos, which are like adding filters. After you’re finished editing your photos, you can preview the changes side-by-side or by moving the cursor over your photo, which will show the original image. If you aren’t satisfied with the outcome of a certain photo, you can manually adjust the settings of that particular picture by showing the Image Processing panel and the Manual Adjustment panel for more precise changes. You can just drag a number of photos into the app and it will automatically adjust certain aspects of the photo like exposure, saturation, and brightness. There are a few different ways to go about editing photos in Photo Sense. What Photo Sense aims to accomplish is more of a basic and faster way to get that certain color saturation or expose that you’re expecting from a group of photos. Photo Sense isn’t meant to replace more intuitive or detailed image editors like Photoshop or Aperture for the more professional photographer. VeprIT’s Photo Sense ($33.99, Direct Link) looks to add other features, which aren’t standard in most photo editing apps, such as automatic photo enhancement, editing a group of photos at once with batch editing and image setting synchronization.Įven though one of Photo Sense’s main features is batch editing, you can just as easily edit photos individually. Thanks to the Mac App Store, there are a number of other great photo editors, which have gained more popularity and caught the eye of a lot of users. ![]() As you might imagine, when someone thinks about photo editing on Mac, the first few applications that might come to mind include Photoshop, Apple’s native photo editing apps Aperture or iPhoto, and more of a popular choice being that it’s free, GIMP. ![]()
